Free Prospecting Tips for your Business..

Hey everyone, I want to share a few nuggets with you to help you understand the simplicity of what we do. Me and my wife have literally spent thousands (yes its true) on training materials and events from some of the top producers in the Networking industry! Personal development is what we did to achieve being members of our company's profit sharing club after only a YEAR AND A HALF of doing this with NO EXPERIENCE and very little time (three kids, church, school full time for both of us, and work). That's not to impress anyone but to impress upon you that personal and professional development is crucial in this industry!

One way to find out whose serious is ask someone or yourself, "what personal development books are you reading currently?" (My current is "From the Bus to the Bentley" by industry icon and my business partner Stan Richards).

But without further ado...heres the notes from my free training call...

These nuggets are from several training courses we have either attended or bought. If I had known these things in my first 30-60 days of starting in this industry, I would have made significant income! Trust Me!!! And I'm giving it to you all for free...


1) Network Marketing is not about signing up people, its about EXPOSING people to the opportunity. When they see the opportunity our job is to get a yes or a no out of them, thats all!

2) Yes's are the destination, but No's are the fuel to get there. What I mean is when you do numbers long enough, a ratio begins to form. If you know your closing rate is 5 Yes's out of 10 No's, for example, where 50% of the people you expose partner with you. All you have to do is work the numbers each month! You can literally plan your checks each month! When I know in order to qualify for my monthly Profit sharing check (2 points) , I know I can usually get 2 customers out of contacting 30-50 leads. All I have to do is work the numbers.

3) Dont Quit! You can only fail IF YOU QUIT! But the REASON people most people quit is because they didnt understand the power of No's. What if a rookie pro baseball player, gets his first at bat in his career, strikes out, then quits and retires and says "its too hard, I cant do it". Absurd isnt it, but thats what people do in this business. Pro's go into the game with the understanding that the avg. baseball player will only get a hit .200-.300 of the time, all they gotta do is get enough at bats. All we do in our industry is put ourselves in position to get enough "at bats" for customers and business partners by exposing them.

4) Look for "complainers": Everyone hates complainers, I know..but what I mean is this, stats show that people tend to complain within 60 seconds of their conversations. All you have to do is recognize it, and offer them a solution (without pestering/chasing/stalking them! I'll show you how shortly...)

5) FORM: When someone complains, it usually falls into one of these categories: Family, Occupation, Recreation, Money. Here's an example, you meet Joe, "hows it going Joe?", or if you met Joe for the first time "Hey joe, are you from around here?" (I have met and built rapport with more people with that line than anything else) and you begin to talk about one of these 4 subjects, sooner or later Joe will either say "yeah, I wish I had more_____" you fill in the blank, and whatever Joe wishes he had more of, you STAY on that subject by asking open ended questions, to keep HIM talking. Make sure he talks more than you!

6) Now most amateurs will blurt out at this point "hey I just joined this company called XYZ, we're having a meeting, come check it out, here's my card, call me if you wanna make some money" WRONG WRONG WRONG!!! This is where in my first few months I left so much money on the table! The prospect will run from you as quick as they can..THEY WILL NOT CALL YOU!! Trust me!!! Here's the trick..

7) Pique and pass: The top people in our industry STILL do this, even though they are making millions! Many still pique and pass. You could simply say 'Hey Joe, I happen to know this guy, he's figured out how to have more time for _____ (fill in Joes complaint here), he's actually started helping other people do the same thing, Now Joe he's very busy, I can have him call you if he's free, and maybe he can help you, do you have a card?" do NOT ask "whats your phone number?" Asking for a card subliminally implies that you're asking for business purposes..

At this point (and it happens dag near everytime), Joe will ask, "well what does he do?" or "well what is it?". DO NOT explain ANYTHING!!! Simply say "I knew you'd be interested, thats why I will have him call you!", get Joes card, then get away from Joe ASAP!!!! I cannot stress this enough...

8) At this point, you can either have an experienced upline, sideline, or downline person call Joe, it doesnt matter who it is as long as the person knows how to "posture" themselves as a leader... Make sure to give the caller the prospects information, what Joe is looking for, his business or job, his family...When they call him they will focus in on what Joe wants and expose Joe 2-3 times either on a webinar, conf call, magazine, video, 1on1, or PBR and Joe will sign HIMSELF up for your opportunity! YOU didnt sign him up!
