Paperless Business Cards...

I read this information on another blog and just thought it was awesome. Everytime I dare to think that I have caught up to the technology and social media game, something else comes out that I have never seen before. This was one of those times!
Ever had a moment to see a concept that makes perfect sense and said, "man I wish I thought of that!!" The Paperless Business Card idea seems to be taking off. First of all it reduces costs. Most of you know that when going to networking or professional events, you pass out cards that you spent hundreds on. You know there is minimal to slight possibility that you all will be collaborating on a business pursuit. Most of the time unless you have done something to stand out, your card will end up lost or in the trash. These ideas help to keep your information in peoples reach. Most people will not throw away or lose their phone, therefore getting your info onto their phone rather than merely a card in their pocket is vital.

If Your Gonna quit, Have Your Plan B In Place!!

http://finance.yahoo.com/career-work/article/109636/more-workers-start-to-quit?mod=career-worklife_balance#mwpphu-post-form

This is why I have been telling people to get out the "matrix" of corporate america. I spent 6 years working for a cable company that treated us like dirt, which rendered many of our employees (not me) to start treating customers like dirt (if you wonder why cable customer serivce is bad, its because the management is bad to employees). I became sort of "mentally unemployable" when I started reading books like Rich Dad Poor Dad, The Richest Man in Babylon, etc.. I left that company to start my own business, and like on queue, they fired tons of people right after I left. I knew then to never allow others (middle management, corporate) to determine my life again.Since then I have become sort of a Morpheus, extolling the virtues of working for yourself. I love Robert Kyosaki's Cashflow Quadrant, which I learned to get over to the side of being a business owner and onvestor, and not exchange hours or education for dollars, but to make my money work for me, whether I am working or not.I got into real estate and network marketing with an Inc. 500 company for this reason. And I have been helping people get out the "matrix" since then. It boggles my mind why people are still looking for just a job, when they should be looking for ways to get out of working a job even moreso. The corporate/employee world is a scam, you know it, I know it. Get out now!!!http://www.5linx.net/teamsvp/makeMoney.asp

I am recharged!!

I am here in Atlanta, at the 5linx national convention. First of all, I haven't been to this city since the early 90's and WOW, what a great development has happened here in the past 20 years.

Lately to be honest, we got a bit of burnout(we havent posted here since March) from school, work, children, church etc... I just want to encourage you to get some encouragement!! Sometimes you have to go away to get recharged and get re-energized by others. There may be a cost to travel and to go to training and mentoring seminars. But if you can convert that motivation into action, it will more than pay for itself.

Living in Detroit many times its like a sucking and draining on your energy, soul, and spirit! In the past two week we have had a cop, grandmother, 2 children, and several teens killed in our community. Its easy to become cynical, yet I do not care because I am a minister, but I am a minister because I care. So in other words, these things affect me, even though I did not know any of these people.

So I am excited that I came this weekend!!! Its a blessing to just be around positive people for a change. Yes many of those here have been laid off, are burned out, tired of working, tired of family and kids, stressed by financials and running businesses just like the rest of us. However, they are not letting their situations define their mindset!! Christ told us transformation comes with a renewal of the mind. So it is not circumstances, situations, or people than should be changing us, its our minds!!! In other words I am automatically out of the will of God when I allow anything that is external to my renewed mind to change me.

I have realized that its time for me to make a decision to "be me". Its time to no longer be average and worry about what others think, but about what my God, wife and children think of me. Yes I have a property management company, and several other businesses setup, but to be honest they are not where I want them. But for me (AND YOU) to get GOING!! Lets leverage each other, it is better to run a successful business with 100 people doing 1% of the work each, than one person doing 100% of the work.

So right now, I am looking for 3 people to partner with before May 31st!! Those who want to go to the next level with me...contact me or email 313-663-1924 or email jchandler_06@yahoo.com!!!

Micro credit - A profitable business? Entrepreneurial Thought Leader Speaker Series

I was researching various micro loans for one of my businesses yesterday. Little did I realize how vast the micro loan market had become and how profitable being a micro lender was. I also learned how micro lending is fast becoming a proven and popular way for very small business owners to get started. Also in some sense the lenders are "paying it forward", as these loans can help a lot of people in poverty stricken areas. I came across this talk on one of my favorite entreprenurial sites , hope you all enjoy!!!
